I would like to start with the “Pengrowth Saddledome”- home of the Calgary Flames team that represents Calgary in NHL games. Hockey, concerts, monster truck shows, figure skating, and much more is happening there every week. I would even call Saddledome the “Heart of Calgary”. For me personally Saddledome is also an amazing place to work at. For the past four and a half years I enjoyed working with the greatest team there, being surrounded by a perfect work atmosphere.

First of all, Pengrowth Saddledome is the first and the biggest place in Calgary where you can watch your favorite hockey games, concerts and other different shows. Because of its size it can hold more than 17000 people at once. Can you imagine what’s happening there during the hockey games? Calgary Flames Fans whose faces are being painted are wearing all red. Sometimes it feels like you are in some kind of a fairytale. And that’s exactly why you always want to come back there and feel it all again – to be a part of it. There are also many concerts taking place. Who would not want to see celebrities like Elton John, Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, or bands like Metallica, Guns & Roses, and Motley Crue? I was amazed and excited. But none of the concerts can beat the “monster jam” in terms of acoustic loudness. This is the “loudest show” full of huge trucks with giant tires jumping and roaring extremely loud – awesome show to watch (and listen to)!

Secondly, I would love to repeat myself and call Saddledome the Heart of Calgary. Located on the territory of the Stampede Park, it is proud to be a part of the “Stampede”. “Stampede” is the biggest agricultural fair and rodeo in Canada as up to 100.000 people visit per day. Unfortunately it is happening in Calgary only once a year. But in those happy 10 days we are always proudly welcoming people from all over the world, regardless whether small or big farmers, or just visitors. You can witness many different competitions like rodeos, contests of shepherd dogs and much, much more. There are attractions all over the place not just for children but for adults too. There are as well many stores and bars where you can always pleasantly refresh yourself, or get typical a Stampede souvenir just like during any important happening in any other large city.

And, finally, I would like to tell you how amazing it is to be a part of this team. Being a Calgary Flames employee since 2005 I can say without any doubt that I am proud to be there, do what I do, being surrounded by such a good team and, the most important, bringing happiness and joy to YOU every time YOU are here. The biggest appreciation for a Calgary Flames / Saddledome employee is to see you coming back with a smile and joy on your face. On the main concourse level you will find lots of concession stands that are selling different kinds of food and drinks. If it is hard to find your seats – the ushering team is always there to help you. Our big security team will keep you safe from anything and everything, so, come in and enjoy the show!
